1 Getting into Wallaman Falls is a bit if a hike. It's about 51 kilometers (32 miles) west of the town of Ingham (approx 100 kilometers or 62 miles north of Townsville, where I live).
2 It's the most accessible of seven "waterfall" National Parks in North Queensland's coastal hinterland.

6 Wallaman Falls are notable for their single-drop of 305 metres (1000 feet), which is Australia's highest permanent waterfall.

9 It's about a 2 hour round trip to the base of the falls, as it is located in some pretty rugged country. Well worth the walk though.
10 The waterfall is formed by a tributary of the Herbert River, Stony Creek, which plunges over an escarpment in the Seaview Range.
