PARONELLA PARK

Paronella Park was built in the 1930s by Spanish immigrant José Paronella, after arriving in 1913
- North Queensland's first hydro electric plant was built on the site in 1933, to power the 5.3 hectare (13 acre) park.
- More than 7000 trees were planted around the Paronellas' home and castle.
