The Fraser Coast Region is a located in the Wide Bay–Burnett region, about 360 kilometres (220 miles) north of the states capitol - Brisbane
- The area is rich in industry - particularly rail engineering and manufacturing, as well as primary production - sugar, fish, timber.
- This is also the access to the largest sand island in the world - Fraser Island.
