Alexandra Headland is the rocky headland between the estuaries of the Maroochy and Mooloolah Rivers
- It was renamed from Potts Point to Alexandra Headland in honour of Queen Alexandra, wife of King Edward VII, in 1901.
- Seaside cottages were built by the local residents of nearby Woombye and Palmwoods during the 1920's.
