Borambola is a rural community, in the central east part of the Riverina, located 30 kilometres (19 miles) east of Wagga Wagga

• Located just off the Sturt Highway between Wagga and Gundagai, it is also halfway between Sydney and Melbourne.
• It was the place that bushranger "Captain Moonlite" was captured and subsequently executed by hanging in Sydney.
