I think I was up at 2AM and we were all on the road just after a 3:30AM departure from our Air B&B accommodations. We fuelled up the rental car and arrived at the airport at 4AM.

After bidding a fond farewell to ET & Trina, Josie and Shazza, I cleared Customs & Immigration for a 6AM departure.

My 8:15AM arrival in Brisbane was made all the more interesting as was off like an Ethiopian after a chicken in trying to make the morning Townsville flight ….. and missed it by just 8 minutes. Yeah, I know, it was a long shot but worth a go in trying to shorten up the resultant 5 hour layover.

A couple of beers and a couple of loads of laundry saw me parked up for the rest of the day at the Poverty Palace. Be Happy
