Fox Glacier falls 2,600 metres (8,500 feet) down its 13 kilometre (8 mile) journey from the Southern Alps to the West Coast of New Zealand.
With more good luck than good manangement, a beautiful clear sushine filled day made Fox & Franz Heliservice's advertised 40 minute Grand Tour an unforgettable experience.
As an added bonus for us, the tour was extended an extra twenty minutes, due to it being a "slow start" in regards to bookings for the day ..... score.
