TRIP MILEAGE – 4,115 miles or 6,622 kilometres
Since my first helicopter ride over Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe), I reckon it’s one of the best ways to get around in both comfort & speed - my second ride would be no different.
After shopping around a bit, Fox & Franz Heliservice's charged us $385 NZD for a their advertised 40 minute Grand Tour, which ended up being just on an hour in length due to it being a "slow start" in regards to bookings for the day ..... not that we were complaining in the slightest. 
Our flight took in Franz Josef Glacier, included a scheduled stop on Fox Glacier for a great photo opportunity and took in both New Zealand's highest - Aoraki/Mount Cook, and second highest - Mount Tasman mountains. The bonus for us was flying over the countries longest glacier - Tasman.
