TRIP MILEAGE – 13221 miles or 21277 kilometres
We were just outside the town of Windmeul and it looks like we've managed to kill another vehicle. Our replacement "Pete" had a terrible gearbox bearing noise and poor ol' Maverick could not select the lower gears without smashing the teeth off them.
The good thing is we only had a hundred miles to our camp-site for the evening, the iffy thing is if we were going to make it at all. How does that local saying go again ..... "This Is Africa". 
As the photos show, at least we had one thing going for us - we had a covered vehicle.
