The day started when I woke up in enough winter clothing, to warm 3 Eskimo’s ... and completely drenched in sweat. I was even more soaked than the previous night, but the fever had broken and I was feeling a whole lot better.

The morning was somewhat downbeat, with the departure of the Sowerbys’ and the Bates’ today. They were all off to Dublin to ensure they got their flights, to different destinations, on Saturday.

To say the Cliffs of Moher are spectacular is to say that Elle Macpherson is only OK on the eyes. As you can see by the photos, the weather moves in fairly quickly and in doing so, changes the mood of the place from sunny and vibrant to overcast and broody and vice versa.

To gain entry, they have a pretty unique way of charging. You pay €8 ($15.50 AUD) for the car parking space which allows the occupants of the vehicle entry.

The Cliffs of Moher are one of Ireland's top visitor attractions and rise to a height of 702 feet (214 metres). The cliffs cut along the Atlantic Ocean coastline for a distance of 5 miles (8 kilometres), on the western seaboard of County Clare.

The building you see standing proudly on the headland is O'Brien's Tower, which was built as a tea house in 1835.

After visiting the Cliffs, Jungle and I decided we would head on into Dublin, as a lot of the locals had informed us that Dublin was the home of rugby. It would also be the best place to try and view the final of the Tri-Nations and Bledisloe Cup. After a quick phone call to Batesy, the Irish Dingoes’ crew were repatriated.

When checking into the hotel we were given the key to Room 145, but were told we had to take the elevator to the 4th floor to get to it. WTF??? You wouldn’t read about it, but it was true. Such a bizarre layout for a hotel and worth of its own page on my website. Follow this link if you cannot wait – Getting To Room 145.
