What to do today??? Hmmmmmm!!! Be Happy

I had every intention of hitting the road early, but when you don't have the constraints of time you simply go with the flow.

Pete put together a bang-up breakfast before Gump and I started getting our respective vehicles ready for out journeys. I bid Gump, Zan, Zoe and Orion goodbye knowing that the week we spent together has changed me in a way that I can't really properly put in words.

It's not that I've had an epiphany or anything, it's simply that having lived so close together, for the week, that you see things in people that you may miss through normal friendship. My heartfelt thanks go to Gump and Zan for allowing me to be a part of their family vacation. I shall cherish the time we spent together.

As for Pete & Sharilee, I am forever in their debt for being such gracious and accommodating hosts. I tip my hat to you both and you'll always have a place to park up at wherever I may land on the globe - as long as Pete works on his jokes. ;-)

I went to check on my email before heading off and spent the next 3½ hours booking my trip to New Zealand and Australia in October and November. So, for those of you who said I was nuts for not having any definite travel plans - here they are.

October 21st: Fly out from Dallas (Texas, USA) to Auckland (New Zealand)

October 23rd: Drive with a mate of mine Doug (who's flying in from Denver, Colorado, USA), to Wellington, (New Zealand)

October 28th: Participate in the World Golden Oldies Rugby Festival in Wellington (New Zealand)

November 5th: Fly from Wellington (New Zealand) to Townsville (Queensland, Australia)

November 18th: Fly from Townsville (Queensland, Australia) to Brisbane (Queensland, Australia)

November 28th: Fly out from Brisbane (Queensland, Australia) back to Dallas (Texas, USA).

So now that I have some concrete plans, I hope that appeases those of you who were concerned. You may return to you regular lives.

I was about to head out the door when I saw a jet skier had broken down on the lake, so Pete and I headed out on the "Party Barge" and towed the guy back to shore.

That's it for Somers Bay, a beautiful place shared with some great mates. Couldn't ask for more, could you???
