1 Henbury Meteorite Craters Conservation Reserve is set in 16 hectares (34 acres) of land. It's located just off the Stuart Highway, some 145 kilometres (90 miles) south of Alice Springs.
2 The craters were formed by the impact of a swarm of meteors about 4700 years ago. The 2 largest craters overlap forming a crater about 120m x 160m (390 x 530 ft) and about 15 meters (50 ft) deep.
