As you can see, all the ugly brick has been covered with textured fibre-cement cladding that resembles 5 inch lap siding.
The cladding was originally only for the new addition, but I thought it would look a lot better to have a uniform look, rather than looking at 3 totally differant materials.
It's taken a fair amount of time to trick the eye into thinking the house is square. The original builders must have been pissed or blind when they put the bricks up.
This is the second time I've built the laundry bench, as I had to remove the first one to install the cladding.
All ready for painting ..... finally.
The trim detail is basically in the Craftsman style. I wanted the clean, neat crisp look.
Most of the interior is ready for painting, afted a touch up and a light sanding of all the trim.

I took the time to construct some custom cabinets in the walk-in closet. Not bad for $467.00 and a couple of days labour.
The first coat of jam is on, in the shower. I'm using $125.00 a gallon (4 litres) of marine paint that's gauranteed to eliminate mould and remain waterproof.
It would want to be self cleaning for that kind of dosh!!!
The two large holes in the shower ceiling are for the waterproof lights, while the third hole is for the overhead rain shower.
