What started out as a couple of mates, having beer or two together in Mareeba, ended up with four of us agreeing to a "Boys Weekend", in Airlie Beach, in November ..... and along with Professor Julius Sumner Miller, you may be asking yourself "How Is It So???"
One of my mates Rab and myself decided to sneak on up to Mareeba to help another one of our mates - Fluxy, celebrate his 25th (with experience) birthday by attending the Sydney Swans and Brisbane Lions Aussie Rules footy match in Cairns. While sitting around, we hatched up a plan to meet in Airlie Beach and after a couple more sherbets (now there's a shock), we called Mary's missus to see if we could get a leave pass for him. Keals is like "sure thing" or words to that effect ..... I think ..... it was late after all. 
The whole premise of the trip would be that all 4 of us hadn't hung out in a while and seeing as two of us have birthdays in November - you'd never never know, if you never never go.
Upon returning home, I got into finding us some accommodations, sorted out which weekend and then how we were going to meet up, as we all live at both ends of the compass. The transportation plan was for Fluxy to fly down from Cairns and ride down with Rab and myself in my ute and Mary would drive up from Mackay. Truth be told, it was probably one of the easiest trips I've ever thrown together.
All we had to do was to wait out the 6 weeks or so without COVID causing any more chaos and changing the plans!
