TRIP MILEAGE – 3,773 miles or 6,072 kilometres
The beginning of Week 3 of my Kiwi Kruisin' trip started out with dark overcast skies, accompanied by cold, miserable, drizzling rain, which as turns out - was a first real rain we've had for the trip.
I spent the best part of the morning in the pilot seat of the Hertz’s 'Loser Cruiser' 12 seater Toyota HiAce Commuter mini bus ferrying numerous Alice Springs Dingoes either to the airport to catch flights, to return or collect rental vehicles or drop them off at one of the many surrounding airport hotels for flights out tomorrow.
The plan was to have a cruisy day and journey over to the West Coast via State Highway 73 - part of the Great Alpine Highway, to our Air B&B accommodations in Greymouth for the night.
