Every couple of years I try and hook up with the Alice Springs Dingoes for a week of 'Fun, Friendship & Fraternity' that is Golden Oldies rugby. For 2018, the destination would be be Christchurch, New Zealand.
As with recent festivals I've attended, the 22nd Golden Oldies World Rugby Festival would see a few of us travel around together for a couple of weeks, both before and after the festival, to make it a destination journey and not simply a FIFO trip.
ET & Trina, Josie, Shazza and myself engaged the services of my travel agent Michelle Jardine at Travel Associates - Castletown and came up with an itinerary that would become the Kiwi Kruizin' travels.
The plan was to spend a week on the North Island, jump on the ferry and head to the rugby festival for another week, then spend the final two weeks exploring the South Island and hopefully tick off another couple of items from our collective 'bucket lists'.
