YANGSHUO ~ Exploring The City (Guangxi, CHN)

We all walked into the centre of Yangshuo for the orientation walk, then basically headed off to all do our own things for the afternoon. After talking to a couple of ex-pats that I had ran into, I decided on a steak sandwich at "The Brew" for lunch, before catching up with Rob and then wandering around the markets, side streets & thoroughfares.
After freshening up back at the hotel, Rob and I walked back down to the markets, which had picked up considerably in foot traffic since the afternoon. We ate at the local German "Zur Eiche" restaurant, where the food was so - so, but the beer was cold and the people watching from the balcony kind of made up for it.
From there we pulled up a stump at a brand-new bar, in one of the many back alleys, that was owned and operated by a Dutch fella and his local girlfriend. We ended up staying a few hours just chin wagging with them and the ex-pats who trickled in and out during the evening.
