The Hermitage of San Juan and San Pablo begin construction in 1013, was completed in 1019 and consecrated by bishop Borrell I of Roda d'Isàvena. It was built to help sway the ingrained pagan beliefs in to the church in the Middle Ages.
The chapel consists of a single ground floor, with a domed horseshoe shaped apse in the Visigoth style. There is a short presbytery which leads to a staircase on the south side, allowing access down to the small lower level crypt.
