TODAYS MILEAGE – 633 miles or 1,019 kilometres
TRIP MILEAGE – 1,524 miles or 2,453 kilometres

I meandered across Hopwood Gardens to the National Holden Motor Museum and spent a couple of hours taking in the some of Australia’s automotive industry history.

Some of the vehicles on display ranged from the first General Motors - Holden - the FX-215 "Humpy" through to the first of Gen 3 Monaro CV8 (V2) and most models in between including "hero cars" like the GTR XU1 Torana, LX A9X Torana, HT GTS Monaro and a model I actually owned - HZ GTS Panel Van with the 308 & M21 Aussie 4 speed gearbox.

Also on display were several race cars including Holden legend Peter Brock & Brian Sampson's replica 1975 Bathurst winning yellow 4 door LH Torana.
