TODAYS MILEAGE – 159 miles or 256 kilometres
TRIP MILEAGE – 14159 miles or 22787 kilometres
We came across the burnt out carcas and took a quick look and as far as I could tell, it looked like an oil fire that started with a cracked oil feed line on the turbo charger.
We found out later that all passengers and their belongings made it out OK and were all carted the 21 kilometres (13 miles) back to the Sesriem campsite by passing traffic, so all's well that ends well.
