SESRIEM ~ Campsite (Hardap, NAM)

TODAYS MILEAGE – 159 miles or 256 kilometres
TRIP MILEAGE – 14159 miles or 22787 kilometres
We were up at 3:30AM for a 4 AM departure from Sesriem campsite, in order to take in a sunrise from atop Dune 45.
Aside from the early start, we were hampered somewhat by an early morning sand storm that reduced visibility to near zero and our vehicle speed to walking pace.
One of my fellow travellers asked to borrow my little compact Nikon camera, as their phone had not recharged overnight. They informed me that they were more than familiar with the camera, but as you can see by the two accompanying shots, they need to work on only one thing - focus!
