I was thinking a form of reverse aparthied was in practice at the Tiger's Milk on Long Street, when I sat down at the bar and ordered an ice cold beer - but alas it was a simple misinterpritation of South African slang.
Apparantly "lighties" means underage i.e. young boy or young teenager, but the sign makes you go "What tha sow??".
