After making the decision to put my hand up and help out our Hobart office for a couple of weeks, I can say that it was a worthwhile endevour.
From stepping into my emplyers office for the first time, until heading out to the aiport on the way home, I was made to feel at home by a core group of 4 team members. This made the entire trip so much easier and enjoyable, as I was literally fighting fires the entire time I was down there.
It wasn't all work mind you. I did manage to take my camera gear out and give it a thourough workout. The crew also generously aided me with my ongoing scientific efforts in the splitting of the beer atom, as well as coming up with itinerary for the Australia Day long weekend walkabout.
All in all, it was a great trip in which the people I met were where I drew the most enjoyment from. .
