TRIP MILEAGE – 10785 miles or 17357 kilometres
The major reason for visiting Peru was to take in one of the "New Seven Wonders of the World", the Incan ruins of Machu Picchu.
After a late lunch at Incontri del Pueblo Viejo , it was back onto the Peru Rail - Expedition Class train service to Ollantaytambo, then a short 42 mile bus trip back to the Hotel Ruinas in Cusco.
