DAY 3
Week 1
PACIFIC HARBOUR ~ The Pearl South Pacific Resort (Serua, FJI)
Sunday October 9th, 2011
TODAYS MILEAGE – 2 miles or 3 kilometres
TRIP MILEAGE – 2608 miles or 4197 kilometres
After all the hustle & bustle of getting to The Pearl South Pacific Resort yesterday, today was all about hammocks, good books and umbrella drinks.
The 78 room resort is set on one of Fiji's longest beaches and overlooks Beqa Lagoon, one of Fiji`s top dive sites. You have all the normal tourist hotel amenities, as well as access to an 18-hole championship golf course, white water rafting, game fishing, diving with sharks, snorkelling, banana boat rides, jet skis and surfing at Frigate's Passage.
Or like us, you can just relax by the swimming pool, indulge at the Pearl Spa or check out the offerings at one of the resorts 2 restaurants and 4 bars.
I'm thinking most of the Pearl South Pacific nourishment and hydration stations are going to get a workout this week.
We also decided to head out to the Pacific Harbour Arts Village for a spot of lunch, snaffle some groceries and to simple see what was out there.
