HA LONG BAY ~ KAYAKING (Vietnam)

TRIP MILEAGE – 6210 miles or 9994 kilometres
What does a desert rat know about kayaking???? 
The final activity of the day, was to climb aboard a two person kayak and head out around a couple of the islands for a paddle.
One good thing about us being one of the last boats to leave the port, was that most of the tourist had gone and we pretty much had most of the activities to ourselves. The downside to this was the is was getting pretty dark by the time we got back and missed most of the spectacular sunset.
Luckily for us, young Wendy and Kasie where the happy snappers while we were out on the kayaks, as there was no way I was taking my camera gear on a boat with someone who I didn't know.
In the end it was a wise decision, as the guy I was partnered with had absolutely no idea as to what he was doing. I would have drier, after the excursion, if I'd just jumped into the emerald waters of Ha Long Bay myself.
