It's all over bar the shouting!!!

I stuck Yvonne & Jungle on the big tin crow headed for Sydney and then took a bit of time out for myself, to reflect on the past 40 days and come to realize that there is no better way to enjoy the beauty of this country, than to go on a road trip with a couple of great mates.

There were simply too many highlights to single any one thing out, but something I took away from this particular trip, was something that both Jungle and Yvonne commented on. They were obviously struck by the stunning beauty, the vast open expanses, the incredible distances and stark contrasts in the climate and vegetation. But the single thing that stuck out for them - was the people.

They were somewhat taken by the generosity and openess of all those who the came in contact with. I figure they came over as tourists and went home as family. This is also a reflection on them as well – good things happen to good people.

An interesting little fact that came from the trip – I must have a few mates scattered around the countryside. Of the 40 days we spent on the road, we only had to fork out for two nights accomodations the entire trip.
