With today being the final day of matches for the Golden Oldies Festival, we drew the Japanese team Chiba-Ken. As most of the Japanese teams we've ever played, by the second period of the match, we had all the ladies from both teams on the field and several legends were born.
We had Sue "Wong Way" Moran, Portia "This Field Isn't Big Enough For Me" Peterkin , Lynn "Slippery" Adams – the lineout jumper and Yvonne "You Can't Touch This" who, in her debut match no less, got yellow carded and sin binned for running too far and showing way too much athleticism.
As you can see by the photos from the match, to a person, everyone had huge smiles on their dials, which to me is exactly what the spirit of Golden Oldies is all about.
