Located in Tiarei, Le Trou du Souffleur de Arahoho (Arahoho Blowhole) is one of Tahiti's most popular roadside attractions.
A lavatube or tunnel that opens into the sea, the geological oddity was created by liquid lava flowing under cold and hard lava. When water crashes into the tunnel, the air inside gets compressed causing a powerful sea geyser effect, as the water shoots out through a hole in the rocks.
