It's Day 50 and I'm still in Dallas. Be Happy

I've got a few email's regarding just how big Dallas (Texas), as a city, really is. Just to show you how big things are I decided to track the today's trip when I went down to Fry's Electronics to get a holder for my Creative Zen Vision M and then went over to a mates for dinner.

As you can see by the map, I basically skirted to the North of Dallas proper and actual driving time was nearly three hours. Because you are playing freeway pinball with all the other lunatics on the road, you don't notice you've covered enough ground that would constitute a small European contry.

I also have a pretty astute dating tip for any on you contemplating a relationship with one of the locals from rounnd here - watch them driving!!! Seriously, the shielas come across a some Southern Belle - dressed to the nines, fluttering their eyelids while cooing in their Southern drawl. On the opposition team, the fellas like to think they represent a genleman rancher - opening doors, saying thank y'all and showing small signs of chivelrous behavior. But put them behind a wheel to see what arming them with a two ton weapon does for their cajons !!!

I kid you not, ignition keys to this mob is like giving the shielas "ScrewUcell" (instead if Duracell) batteries for their strap-ons and the fellas have taken a Texas sized dose of "I'm a 5 foot tall specimen of all male appendage" pills!!!

You think I'm joking??? Try turning on your indicator to change lanes - they'll all speed up so as to not let you get over. I'm actually using that move in order to amuse myself on my travel around here. I get a good giggle out of it.

While I've been here I've been able to take a look at a couple of movies. Last Friday my brother inlaw Mike and myself went and took a look at what was billed as "the funniest movie of the year" Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby. The movie trailers hold most of the funny parts. We both were pretty under-whelmed as the entire movie was about as funny as cancer.

I went out and took a gander at Miami Vice. I was expecting a retake of the Don Johnson/Phillip Michael Thomas TV show of the late 80's early 90's. I was pleasantly surprised to find an edgy, well thought out and somewhat realistic movie. I enjoyed it as an action flick and would recommend it if you're into that genre.

I've been nudging my brother inlaw to help me with a couple of things which I hope to be able to share with you this weekend.

Keep ya powder dry kids.

Time to hit the fart sack.
