TRIP MILEAGE – 6772 miles or 10898 kilometres
It was a long day in the saddle, nearly 700 miles in the Man Pad in a day is way too much driving!!! 
Allow me a moment of indulgence. My mothers adoration of Elvis was the only reason why I went 137 miles (220 kilometres) out of my way to take a butchers at Elvis' birthplace. Having previously visited Graceland, it was interesting to see the contrast where he had come from.
From Tupelo (Mississippi) I punched out the 580 miles (933 kilometres) to visit my brother and sister in-law in Dallas. Oh yeah, after 40 days, it'd be good to sleep in a bed that doesn't move — but don't tell them!!!
Tomorrow I'll have a sh!t, shower, shave & shampoo and will be feeling a million bucks for it.
