Another day, another "slack attack"!!!
JR, Shelly and the family were up early in preparation for their trip back to Boise. Those preparations were curtailed by the fact that JR and I were chin wagging about some of the players when we were employed at Micron Electronics selling PC's. Yes, Dominic Casey is still a fucking wanker and gave all Aussie's that followed him, a bad reputation that we had to work around. I had a blast getting to know both Shelly and JR and hope to catch up with them wherever I land.
The big plan today was to get the mooring weight into the water. Gump and I loaded all 200 plus pounds of the concrete filled bin into the van and headed to the boat ramp. We dropped it off to the side of the ramp, got back in the van and took off. The quizzical looks of the two guys loading their boat was priceless.
We were laughing our arses off at the possibility of one of them calling Homeland Security about it and mentioning one of the guys was a foreigner i.e. me. Before any of this could eventuate, we were back with the "Party Barge", loaded the "sleeping with the fishes" implement and headed out into the choppy waters that the lake was throwing up at us. The water conditions were so bad that we abandoned any notion of sinking the mooring for fear of turning the party barge into a submarine.
Gump, Zan and the kids legged it over to Whitefish (Montana) to do what people visiting Whitefish do. I, on the other hand, was left with the task of completely re-wiring the tow dolly as there was too much damage to the existing wiring to save any of that.
By mid-afternoon I was in the Man Pad taking pot shots at the enemy in Medal Of Honor on the XBox.
I ventured back inside the house, only to find that Zan had cut her foot on the dock while diving in for a swim. Gump bundled her up and headed for the clinic while Grandma Sharilee and I waited for Orion and Zoe to finish their afternoon naps.
Zan ended up with 10 stitches in the ball of here foot and was on doctors orders to stay off it for a few days. What is it with the Payne women??? Sharilee breaking her tailbone and Zan gashing her foot. They must want their own man-servants or something????
It was Friday night and Gump's turn to cook. So it was off to Del's Bar in Somers for take away pizza. We managed a shot of 15 year old Glenfiddich single malt scotch and at $4.00 for a really strong pour (like 3 ounces each) if we didn't have the family waiting for pizza, the we well could have been settled in for the evening!!!
Check ya later.
