TODAYS MILEAGE – 3 miles or 5 kilometres

Another day, another boat to launch!!
Pete trundled off to work this morning, a strange and foreign concept for me over the past couple of weeks, so Gump and I were tasked with getting the pontoon boat (aka the "party barge") in the water.
We actually spent more time searching for the keys for the boat, than getting it to the boat ramp and in the water. The boat had also been winterised and had not been run since then, so there were a few hassles in getting the engine fired and running smoothly. No worries though, between Gump the sailor and myself the former diesel mechanic, we got the thing fired up and purring like a kitten after several attempts, which included numerous expletives pertaining to the abbreviation for fire truck!!!
For those not in the know - take the first and the last three letters in getting the abbreviation of fire truck.
We loaded the party barge with Gump's family, an esky & the dish licker and we're off like a Jewish foreskin, to plunder the sights of Flathead Lake. About an hour into the cruise, the billy lids were about to force a mutiny (it was past their nap time) so we headed ashore, deposited the young uns, topped the esky with some Canadians finest brewing efforts and set out again.
We traveled the shoreline in search of the house that was on the market for a cool $10 million US. Pretty impressive, but as you will see, your neighbour has a trailer park house. Billy Bob John Boy has moved in!! Gump and I actually preferred a house that was just as big, but blended into it's environs a lot better. A lot more thought went into that place. It didn't scream out "look at me, I've got more dollars than sense!"
We got back to Sharilee & Pete's Palace in time for the arrival of Zan's brother and his family. Dinner on the deck (yeah, I know AGAIN!!! and consisted if beef fajitas and chicken & cheese quesadillias, minus the chicken, don't know what happened there - hey Zan!!!
I retired to the Man Pad to try and work out why the fridge had failed, but after moving it to a more level position, the fridge works just fine on propane. Note to Fitzy - treat the RV like a woman, keep her level and steady!!!;-)
With the fridge apparently fixed, I cranked up the XBox for a crack at Medal Of Honor before calling it a night. Tomorrow is cracker day here in the US, so we'll se what that brings.
