As the song goes - 8 days on the road and I don't know when I'm gonna make it home again. 
Today was just short 2 hour roll down I90 into Fairmont Hot Springs Resort, about 19 miles outside of Butte (Montana).
I was catching up with my good mates from Boise - Nathan, Danette and their 4 year old daughter Makenna. Just so happens, as I'm pulling up Nette, her mum and blood blister (sister) Denise were on the 18th green and were ready for some fluid replenishment, so who am I to disappoint the ladies???.
The weekend was a family reunion of sorts. Nathan's parents, who live close by dropped in, as did his Uncle and Aunt. Nette's parents came up from Arizona, Denise came over from New Jersey with her 18 month only Mikaela (who I promptly nicknamed Micky Blue Eyes).
The afternoon was spent around the resorts pool and small water slide. We adjourned to their condo on the 4th hole and had a feed and swapped war stories well into the night. It ended with me cutting some timber as Nathan and Danette were watching Wedding Crashers in the Man Pad cinema.
I think we've all had trepidations about being at a mates family vacation, but I was made to feel like one of the family for the entire time. I had a wonderful time chin wagging with all and sundry.
As a side note, event though they were all staying at the time share condos of the resort, I thought it was pretty cheesy that the resort charges $3-00 a day for an internet connection and $13-50 for an adult to use the pool. There were not a lot of people at the resort - even Ray Charles could see why!!!!
