TODAYS MILEAGE – 407 miles or 655 kilometres
TRIP MILEAGE – 407 miles or 655 kilometres
Reno and Las Vegas are arguably the largest gambling destinations in Nevada, but with two completely different feels to them.
When flying into Vegas, you can literally feel a buzz of anticipation and excitement, while Reno feels like "just land the plane and let me get out of here". It's similar when cruising around both towns, Vegas is an organised chaos, predominantly clean and with a healthy vibrant pulse - a bit like a new Hollywood starlet.
Reno on the other hand feels like a bordello madam - been there, done that, tired, jaded & ageing.
It was issue for me as I was just passing through.
