DAY 8
Week 2
SEATTLE (Washington, USA)
Saturday November 11th, 2000
TODAYS MILEAGE – 100 miles or 161 kilometres
TRIP MILEAGE – 9579 miles or 15416 kilometres
Today was a late start (12:30PM) day as White Russians, Jack Daniel's, Zambucca and some shit called Yaegermiester had all taken a heavy toll. We were all feeling it but here's a word of warning, don't let Steery navigate after a hard night, we almost saw what he had for dinner due to a bout of "air sickness" - Steery was vertical when he should have been horizontal.
We did get to see Bruce Lee's gravesite, with his son Brandon buried beside him. From the graveyard it was off to Bellevue Hooters for very late lunch early dinner. This was the third Hooters in Seattle and quite frankly it was very ordinary and easily the worst one we went to.
We shot out of Hooters and headed out to Redmond, to get a picture of us hanging out at the front of Microsoft's world headquarters. We weren’t there long before being scoped out by Bill Gate's "Rent-a-cops" for some unknown reasons.
The final stop of the day was back in the city to check out Pike Place Markets. From there it was straight home to bed.
