We should have known that with Easter being the third busiest travel period in the U.S. - behind Christmas and Thanksgiving, that there'd be a few delays.
Getting into Denver was the easy part, getting out proved to be the headache. Even though we were meant to be on the same plane for the connecting flight, we were made to disembark. From there we had two flight delays, a cancelation including reboarding our plane for San Francisco passengers. Eventually 6 hours later and not so much as an apology, United got us on another flight bound for Dallas.
We eventually got into DFW Airport around 9PM and spent the best part of nearly two hours collecting our luggage, sorting out the rental car which was damaged and then driving to Bek & Mike's place north of Dallas.
I'm so glad Mike remembered to stock the beer fridge, as it's hinges got a workout on my arrival.
