Greetings & Salutations.
About a week ago, Ruth and her parents Marc & Nancy, headed over to the east coast of the US, for a little parent/daughter antique hunting - or "antiquing" ... as they like to call it. While I do find some of the stuff interesting and the history behind it fascinating, I'm simply not as hard core into as they are. For my mind "antiquing" is simply another form of retail therapy, but with older gear. If the girls are into it, then good luck to them.
While they were away, I was project managing the construction of our new garage at the back of the house. The contractor had promised to have the entire project done by the time we got back from holidays, but with him only just completed the formwork for the concrete slab, I be more than a little surprised if the builders met the deadline.
In the meantime, the plan is for me to meet up with the family, spend a day or two together and then Ruth and I would head off and see where the roads would take us. We'd have two weeks with little or no itinerary, and even less planning to speak of, which should make for a great 6th Wedding Anniversary.
