South Island's Southernmost Point
About 70 k's (40 miles) east of Invercargill. you will come to Slope Point - the southernmost point of the South Island of New Zealand.
It's a short 20 minute downhill walk from the car park, through sheep filled lush green paddocks, in a wind that would blow a dog off a chain, but it's a great spot to explore and reminded me a lot of the rugged coastline of Ireland.
