Exploring The City
Monday July 31st, 2017
Being that it was only an hour and a half north of Madrid, Dan and I jumped on the express bus and trundled on up to Segovia - famous for its magnificent Roman aqueduct dating back to the end of the first century - the Acueducto de Segovia and for one of the last Gothic temples to be built in Europe - Catedral de Segovia.
Surprisingly there was so much more to Segovia, if you simply made the effort and went for a wander around on foot. Places like the Alcázar of Segovia, San Andrés Gate, Iglesia de San Esteban, the Monastery of Saint Mary of Parral as well as Casa de la Moneda - reportedly the oldest industrial building in Europe, all made for a great day of exploring the town.
