The "South American Sojourn" Trip
Lima to Cusco
Friday September 12th, 2014
With today being the official start to the "South American Sojourn", we were all up 3AM to catch our 4AM bus transfer to the Jorge Chávez International Airport.
Our 7:20 AM TAM Airlines flight to Alejandro Velasco Astete International Airport, in the World Heritage listed city of Cusco, was scheduled to take an hour and twenty minutes, but getting into Lima and queueing for the flight was where most of our time was spent.
As you can see by the photos, quite a few Dingoes took some time out of their busy schedules to check their eyelids for holes.
As we were taxiing along the runway to the arrival gate, it seemed that every local on the plane engaged in a spontaneous round of applause. The same thing happened when we landed in Santiago (Chile) and Lima (Peru). Don't these mob know that all aircraft land ... eventually???
