The "Taco's & Toucan's" Trip

Catedral de Santiago de Cuba

Friday April 19th, 2019

With construction completed in 1526, Santiago de Cuba lays claim to having having the oldest church in Cuba with the Roman Catholic - Santa Basílica Metropolitana Iglesia Catedral (also called Santiago de Cuba Cathedral), which anchors the southern side of Céspedes Park.

If you get the chance to visit, be sure to wear sleeves and shorts that basically come to your knees as the ushers got all fired up about my rugby shorts and shirt. Ironically for a faith that supposedly welcomes all comers and strapless tops on visiting females, my sleeveless shirt was "too much exposure" - go figure. Be Happy
