The Second Annual "FSEMFG" Carbarton Run river raft trip kicked off from a spot about 50 miles North of Boise on the Payette river. FSEMFG stands for Field Service Engineers ManuFacturinG Support Group.

You basically put your rafts in the water near mile marker 107 and get out at mile marker 99, which equates to approximately an 8 mile trip. It takes about 4 to 5 hours to just plod along the river.
As the loading ramp recedes slowly in the distance, I have time to ponder. What the hell is a desert dweller doing in white water????
As soon as the raft got wet, the beer and sandwiches came out.
That's where we're headed.
The real estate's not hard on the optic nerve.
Time to park up for a bit of a nosebag.
For Christ's sake put a shirt on Junior, you're scaring the bloody fish.
If this was a gay crew, who'd be the Rear Admiral?

Here's part of the (Motley) crew: Lisa "Say my name" Montaney, "Chad Mads" Schow, Jeff "Junior" Carter, Chris "CC Luv Machine" Cope, Paul "Sleazy" Ryder, Shane "Pee" Ephraim Esquire and myself.
Just how the hell do you drive this inflatable thing anyway and why the hell is Fitzy steering? He's from the desert you idiots!
Just let me show you where to put that camera Fitzy!
After Chris's near drowning experience last year. We took no chances with him taking off his life jacket again.
Please assume the position Paul.
Are we there yet?
Do ya think the girls will like me if I flex my pec's?
No drama's with my Karma!
Time to adjust my Wah!
(You had to be at last years trip to understand)
Decisions, decisions. Do I finish my beers before or after I abandon this ship of fools and lunatics?

This is the end of the road so to speak. It's a nice little drop of that open into a small estuary. It is also where we lost Chris the previous year.

Looking down the river to the nearby Cougar Mountain Lodge.
Time to pack up and be like the shepherds and flock off.
Jeez, only a mother could love that! ;-)
Not a bad bit of countryside...

... around the Cougar Mountain Lodge.
