Greeting and Salutations Slack Attackers,

Hopefully this letter finds you with cold beers and your good health is making your doctor think about trading in his Ferrari for a Hyundai.
As you can probably tell, unless you have conpissdavitus (alcohol affected eye sight), I have decided to give the web site a fresh look. Hopefully it agrees with you, if not, you've obviously been misguided into thinking I'm going to re-do the site in shades of teal, fusia and other politically correct soothing colors.
Before I get asked a thousand times about the header images, here's the skinny. The three flag in the left hand corner are my home state of the Northern Territory (ochre, white and black). The Australian national flag (blue, white and red) and the Boxing Kangaroo (green, gold and brown). In the right side of the flag are the stars that make up the the Southern Cross. I've also added a little paragraph as to the meaning of the flags.
Northern Territory:    The flag is made up of Ochre, Black and a white flower symbolizing the Desert Rose. The "Territory" was the first internal or external Australian territory to adopt a flag post-Federation (1901). The year was 1978. There are seven leaves of the flower, for the same reason as there is a seven pointed star in Australian flag: it is a symbol of Federation (six original states + one point for all the territories).
Australia:    The flag was first flown 1902 after a countrywide competition. 6 final entries were very similar in design and as such, elements of all 6 were incorporated in the new flag. The general consensus of the flags meaning is that the Union Jack represents British rule. The Southern Cross, which is the brightest constellation in the Southern Hemisphere, was representative of Australia's bright future as a leading nation. The four bright stars symbolized the four moral virtues of justice, prudence, temperance and fortitude - principles that Australians should live up to.
The Commonwealth Star was another significant symbol. Its six points represented the six newly federated states. In 1908 a seventh point was added to represent all the Federal Territories which, today, include the Northern Territory, the Australian Capital Territory, The Cocos Islands and the Australian Antarctic Territory.
Boxing Kangaroo:    The flag started as the mascot for the Australia II yacht team that were the first non US team to win the America's Cup and remove the Auld Mug from the New York Yacht Club.
So there you have it, a new look and a history lesson. Having promised you all a web site update, I have finally had the time to do something about it. I will update you when the new pages go live so the site doesn't get boring. Let me know what you think of the site.

Hope to hear from you soon.

Stay Happy ;-)
