We were travelling at 130 mph when we came to this traffic jam. It took us 1 1/2 hours to travel five miles due to rubber-neckers checking out a single vehicle accident.
Two miles after clearing the accident we managed to puncture the tire going uphill during a rain storm. One guess who had to change the tire????.
We then had to dance with the rental car company to see who would pay for the spare tire replacement.
We found no difficulties in getting into our McRentalcar and McDriving to the McDrivethrough at the local German McDonalds!
This was the Bed & Breakfast we stayed at while in Munich.
The elevators were a bit cozy, even with one person.
We asked for a queen size bed, we got two single beds put together with a big board running right down the center of the bed.
We even got close to the showers and toilets. Bad move, it kept us awake every time some one had to use the "facilities".
The elevator is even cozier with one person with two peoples luggage.
The view from our room. We were only five minutes walk from the downtown and across the road from where the "Octoberfest" celebrations are held.
Cigarette vending machines are all over the city.
We were a couple of weeks early for the "Octoberfest", but it didn't stop Fitzy from finding the world's oldest beer hall.
The beer hall was huge. Lots of people, lots of noise and lots of beer. They had a German "Oom Pa Pa" band playing and all the staff were dress in reproduction original costume from when the beer hall first opened.
What better fun in a beer hall than trying to blow up the breath test alcohol analyzer?.
The was the site for the 1972 Olympics.
