INVERCARGILL (Southland, NZL) to MOERAKI (Otago, NZL)

TRIP MILEAGE – 5,132 miles or 8,259 kilometres
We spent a couple of hours at the i-SITE Visitor Centre in Dunedin, trying to organize some accommodations for a couple days, without success nor any obvious enthusiasm from the attending staff.
We hit our collective mobile phone internet services with Air B&B coming to our rescue with a property in Moeraki, about 80 k's (50 miles) north of Dunedin.
After a bite to eat, we headed out over to the Otago Peninsula, stopping briefly at Pukehiki for some stunning views out over Otago Harbour before climbing the World's Steepest Street - Baldwin Street, back over on the northern side of the city.
We got settled in at the Heart of Moeraki Holiday Home just on sunset and wandered down the well-worn path to the Moeraki Tavern for a pretty decent 'pub grub' feed.
