TRIP MILEAGE – 4,115 miles or 6,622 kilometres
Unbeknown to us while travelling the Crown Range Road at the time, it is the highest main road in New Zealand.
The road drops a total of 1121 metres (3677 feet) over its 11 kilometres (7 miles) of full-on windy switchbacks in to Arrow Junction, at the bottom of the range.
