A 50 mile (80 kilometre) drive out to the Hobbiton Movie Set started off our day, where we spent $84.00 NZD ($56 USD/$76 AUD) per person and most of the morning essentially walking up and around a hill, that is a farmers back paddock and a set of the The Lord of the Rings movie series.
After lunch at the Fat Dog Cafe, the girls headed out to the Polynesian Spa for a 'grease & oil change' while I parked up on a comfy couch with my David Baldacci novel.
