As with most good things, they eventually must come to an end.
Kuala Lumpur International Airport was not that busy at all when I turned up for my Malaysian Airlines 4:30PM departure for Singapore.
It's literally less than an hour to Singapore's Changi Airport, which gave me about 2½ hours to while away before Qantas hurtles me through the night back to Australia.
Thankfully the return leg, the aircraft interior temperature was more agreeable to humans than polar bears & penguins. 
I've broken down the flight times and distances, in getting back into Australia:

213 miles or 343 kilometres
• Flight Time: 50 minutes
∗ Singapore (SGP) – Brisbane (Queensland, AUS)
3825 miles or 6155 kilometres
• Flight Time: 7 hours 55 minutes plus 1 hour 25 minute layover
