DAY 20b

THE BRITISH GOLF MUSEUM (St Andrews, Fife, SCO)

Wednesday September 17th, 2008
TODAYS MILEAGE – 103 miles or 166 kilometres
TRIP MILEAGE – 14046 miles or 22605 kilometres

Jungle and I spent the night at one of his close mates’ (Derek Cummings) place on the outskirts of Edinburgh. The pair of them were up at sparrows fart, in order for Derek to drive Jungle the 47 miles (76 kilometres) to Glasgow airport for his flight back to Canada.

As I mentioned earlier, Jungle had to go back a day earlier as the airline he flew over with (Zoom Airlines) had gone belly up, he was lucky enough to get on with another airline - Fly Globespan. This turn of events saw not only a scheduling change, but also a departure city change.

After bidding my fond farewells, to my great mate Jungle and the brilliant bloke Derek, I pointed my rent-a-rocket North in the general direction of St Andrews.

The drive was a somewhat sombre and melancholy affair as more the miles rolled on, so did the memories.

After finding a car park, my first port of call in St Andrews was the British Golf Museum and although not a huge fan of golf, I was really impressed at what was on offer at the museum. Well worth the £5.50 ($13.30AUD) admission.
